To Sparkle Punch...

In the Now: February 2015

Watching: Parks and Rec on Netflix. My roommate introduced me to it last year and thus inaugurated a period of lit-trally calling each other "beautiful tropical fish" all the time. I'm still way behind (because I stop watching everything I like, natch), but Parks and Rec has been bringing some much needed hilarity into my life lately. Stray remarks: Ben Wyatt (with or without Leslie) is the cutest, "Wyatt Ben Can't Jump," Ron Swanson with cornrows, "Treat yo self 2011!", Chris Pratt <3 (I get it now!), "ANN PERKINS!!", "I was in the pittttt," and THIS:

Leslie Knope, you are my Type-A soulmate.

Listening to: "Dollhouse" by Melanie Martinez. This song strikes me as how Lorde/Ellie Goulding would interpret "My name is Luka, I live on the second floor." It's so gorgeously creepy, and I LOVE it. It seems made for the poster child of gorgeously creepy: Allison from America's Next Top Model. (RIGHT?!)

Reading: Not self-help books because my therapist banned me from doing so! She's the best, she totally knows that I'd rather learn about a concept academically than look inward. At a recent yoga retreat, I was introduced to the concept of the "inner child" and how that scared kid can run the show in your adult life if you don't validate her and make peace with her. So fascinating. So I've been getting reacquainted with that girl, which has been both bizarre and really interesting.

Working on: The envelope system (which has been super challenging, mainly because I'm not used to having cash on me ever) and my clothing/accessories shopping ban and capsule. One week in, and I've only bought two pairs of shoes (something I haven't bought in forever) that I'd been coveting and found on sale, so not too shabby! I've also been taking pictures of my outfits daily, to compile in a post to come (probably mid-month). Here is a sneak peek:

This sweater, from last month's budget is soooo comfy and soft. If it comes back in stock at Target, pounce!
