To Sparkle Punch...

High Five for Friday: May 26

Hi friends! Thanks for stopping by—I’m so glad you’re here! 😁

Is anyone else in need of just a comfy, cozy long weekend? I know I am. Turns out Pudge is part rooster and wants to meow everyone awake at sunrise. And she’s a little too good at her job. (Annoying as this is, it doesn’t diminish my love for her in any way. Is this what being a mom to humans is like?? 🤯😂)

It’s been a while since I did a regular ol’ High Five for Friday, so let’s see what put the sparkle into the past few weeks!

(FYI: I make a small commission for purchases or clicks made through links in this post.)

The bralette was another Altar’d State sale rack find by Soph!

…and also a care package?? That I bought myself? Is that even allowed? 😂 Let’s say it is, because that is a world I want to live in. 👍 I fell down a rabbit hole of “self care boxes” on Etsy earlier this week and would have been fully on board, except that I’m not the biggest fan of “grab bag” type things. So I made myself my own care package via Amazon instead!

  • So this weekend, I hope to face mask it up while watching baseball and playing…

Tears of the Kingdom! Aka the latest Zelda game. I LOVE IT SO FAR. I mean, except for no longer having all the hearts, stamina, supplies, and rupees I’d stockpiled in three years of playing Breath of the Wild. But it’s great to have quests again! And even though I am so not a dungeon/puzzle-solving gal, the Wind Temple was so good!!

  • However, I also need to take a moment to fully geek out over TotK’s predecessor, Breath of the Wild. A few weeks ago, knowing that Tears of the Kingdom was about to come out, I completed Breath of the Wild. Like, 100% completed. I’m not usually that person, but the 100% was weighted toward finding things, rather than fighting things, and if there’s anyone willing to scour every inch of a giant map, it’s me. 🙋🏼‍♀️

I miiight have run around our living room when I got that last godforsaken korok.

  • Lastly, snuggles with my dear Pudge. (Obviously, this did not take place at 5 AM!) She’s still not a lap cat, but I’ve learned another way to briefly lure her with one fuzzy blanket:

What a sweet angel. She’ll lie on my stomach like that and start making biscuits! Ahhh! 😭💖😭💖

What put the sparkle in your week? ✨

(And treat yourself to a care package, while you’re at it. 😉)

Happy Friday! xoxo
